2009

Wednesday, December 31st, 2008

I feel so JB (part 3)

Ahaa… I think we need a batman here.

To the best of our knowledge, just 1 week ++, another 4 cases took place in our neighborhood.

First, we introduce A SAM, a friend of us who likes talking. On the next morning after our sadly incident, he came to our house shouting,“burglar(s) broke inside my house TOO!” We were shocked because he lives nearby us. Fortunately, he and his housemates lost nothing, because that night he had a pillow talk with his housemate till 3am ++. When the burglar(s) broke inside their house around 3.45am, his housemate living downstairs was just about to sleep. He was alerted and made the burglar(s) flew away.

Second, another nearby student house: 11 girls under 1 roof. Burglar(s) broke inside their house through the roof, tabao away their items including 8 NOTEBOOKS. Before leaving, the burglar(s) still got time to wash legs in the bathroom using the girl’s shampoo. >.

Third, half-student house which lost a hp and a bag. No sign of braking in.

Forth, a rich family next to the third victim. Burglar(s) broke in and took away around RM3,000. The burglar(s) could even detect the cashes tucked in books. In fact there is a story behind this family. Allegedly, this rich family lived in a big house last time. Someday in the afternoon, they were robbed by gun-armed Chinese robbers and suffered a great lost including Mercedes. However our POLIS DIRAJA could do nothing about that. Out of disappointment and as a self-protecting endeavor, the family moved into the current small house (same taman). Unluckily, this time still they got involved.

To my surprise, my roommate had sought political help from our YB Dr. Boo. YB will hold a press conference on Wednesday. Should I be there to voice out disquiet and raise some hopes on police based on their investigation?

Over the window, I could only see dark cloud. It started to rain.

Police station, we went to.

Report, we lodged.

The whole morning, we spent.

Summary:

The cop at desk was obliged to do the report. He typed using only his forefingers. One letter by one letter, he typed, and kept us waiting for almost 45 minutes for merely a report. Since I was the one on behalf to lodge the report, I could not sleep in front of him just liked my other housemates did.

After report session, we were asked to assist their investigation. Okay, as good citizens we were willing for such help. But guess what? Nearly one hour we spent for waiting the arrival of inspector. Finally he came and asked some simple questions, which we had made it clear in our report. Later, he and his assistant came to our house to snap some pictures and do some survey.

It was around 1pm to settle everything. We had to spend the whole morning for two reports (one by inspector), and some pictures.

Let’s see. Is that the reason of that numerous cases remained unreported? To lodge a report was so troublesome and makan masa, yet the whole police investigation just ain’t convince us. We had some discussion among neighborhood and found out there were some other broke-in-cases. However according to the police, we were the first case reported in recent. For certain degree the cops’ efficiency can reflect the reason of high rate of crimes, isn’t?

Fortunately the burglars were kind-hearted enough to COME BACK and return us ALL of our important IDs and cards. Our neighbor found them in an unattached bag in front of his gate during the time we were all out for lodging report. If we were have to retrieve all those docs in government punya pejabat, it definitely would drain away all our reserved energy.

p/s: Thanks for all concerns, I’m fine.

I feel so JB (part 1)

Yesterday in the dawn, I was awoken by housemates’ horrifying shouts. I was so blurred to figure out the situation. “Got thieves… came inside… our house…? oh… i see…” It took me few seconds to interpret the words. Ridiculously, my first thought was that: “How could the thieves make it?” Only the second thought completely awoke me from the sleepiness. “It’s gone!” On my table, I couldn’t find my most valuable property. A couple of hours before, my fingers were still working on it.

It never happened in my house where all housemates awoke at 3.45am. 4 housemates rushed out in 1 motorbike and 1 car, trying to trace the burglars. The rest stayed back to investigate the whole incident. Finally in the backyard, a two-meters-long bamboo pole and left-out stolen properties of one of my housemates were found. We suspect more than 1 person broke inside. They used bamboo pole to hook my housemate’s belonging. They found keys and came inside our house just the same way like us. We couldn’t rely on our dog which still in his puberty for any defensive effort because he only cares about food.

It is eerie to imagine the burglars moving around bedsides during sleeping. One year research works of mine were gone with my notebook stolen. As people always said, “You should appreciate since you were left in safe.”  JB has been renowned for notorious gangsters and countless number of crime perpetrators. Although we met a minor one, yet I feel so JB.
