Thoughts of an accident

Thursday, March 22nd, 2007

An accident in Kangar had brought my old friend’s dad into unconsciousness for almost 1 month. Today only I was told by Sheue Fen. Under treatment in Penang Hosp, my friend’s dad can only yield minor respond to external physical stimulation passively. However, I think this is considered a significant improvement compared to total unconsciousness.

We can hardly imagine the state of being struck by the mishap suffered by the family of victim. It is not easy to go through weeks of being haunted by unpredictable uncertainties. They need mutual mentally support among family members & friends and spiritually strengthened.

Undesired incidents are parts of human life that are usually refused to be discussed over by human beings especially in typical chinese society which has the tendency of putting those topics into prohibited area of chatting. However, the more we try to avoid from learning to handle possible contingencies, the easier we succumb to emotional suffering once we are in the trouble. Inevitably, we are going to face the immense problems hidden in human life, including death. Hopefully we can always be alerted, brave and persevere to go through the challenges.

Juz like chinese old saying sounds :"road is like a tiger’s month." Thus, "only to be careful can we drive boat for thousand years." <— sry for stupid translations =.="

Best regards for my friend’s family, to go through this unfortunate incident. For those who shares the words here, let us make a wish for his dad to recover soon.
